Who Is The QMS For?

The plan has been designed to assist organisations with their environmental performance by providing a "standardised" approach to developing QMS. The plan is suitable for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed trades' persons operating within the Australian building and construction industry.

What Does The QMS Comply With?

The QMS complies with:

  • AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality management system requirements

What Makes Our QMS Unique?

Our QMS manual has been structured to efficiently manage quality at corporate and project levels. Our QMS comes in two sets:

  1. The QMS manual set that includes the policies, procedures, practices and performance standards of the organization; and
  2. The Project-specific quality management plan (PQMP); a document that sets out the specific resources, responsibilities, procedures and practices, for a particular project.

With this type of structure you will only need to customise the PQMP for each individual project. See below the structure of our QMS documentation

What Is The QMS Suitable For?

The manual is suitable for 'construction works' and includes any of the following:

  • Building works, including the construction, alteration, renovation, repair, maintenance and demolition of all types of buildings (residential single dwelling, medium to high density development, high rise residential developments, commercial and industrial premises); and
  • Civil engineering, including the construction, structural alteration, repair maintenance and demolition of for example, airports, docks, harbours, inland waterways, river and sea defense works, roads and highways, railways, bridges, and tunnels, viaduct, and works related to the provision of services such as communications, drainage, sewerage, water and energy supplies.

The manual can also be used to:

  • Gain certification to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems standards; or
  • Gain prequalification to State Government agencies such as the Department of Commerce, Vic Roads, Roads and Maritime Services and other similar agencies; or
  • Just claim that your systems are compliant to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems standards if you don't want to go through the certification process.
