This plan is suitable for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed trades' persons operating within the Australian building and construction industry.
The plan is suitable for 'construction works' and includes any of the following:
- Excavation works, including the excavation or filling of trenches, ditches, shafts, wells, tunnels and pier holes, and the use of caissons and cofferdams
- Building works, including the construction, alteration, renovation, repair, maintenance and demolition of all types of buildings (residential single dwelling, medium to high density development, high rise residential developments, commercial and industrial premises); and

This plan is suitable for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed trades' persons operating within the USA building and construction industry.
The plan is suitable for 'construction works' and includes any of the following:
- Excavation works, including the excavation or filling of trenches, ditches, shafts, wells, tunnels and pier holes, and the use of caissons and cofferdams
- Building works, including the construction, alteration, renovation, repair, maintenance and demolition of all types of buildings (residential single dwelling, medium to high density development, high rise residential developments, commercial and industrial premises); and

The CSMP outlines the minimum requirements for the management of OSH by relevant organisations such as Occupational Safety and health Administration (OHSA) .
It must be noted that the final determination of compliance with OSHA regulations including compliance with the written Safety and Health Program requirement under 29 CFR 1926 is made by evaluation of all factors pertaining to a particular worksite with respect to employee safety and health. Employers should be aware that this plan it is not to be considered a substitute for any provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act or for any standards issued by OSHA.

This plan is suitable for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed trades' persons operating within the United Kingdom building and construction industry.
The plan is suitable for 'construction works' and includes any of the following:

The CSMP outlines the minimum requirements of the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007 – approved Code of practice issued by HSE authorities.
It must be noted that the final determination of compliance with HSE regulations including compliance with legislative requirements is made by evaluation of all factors pertaining to a particular worksite with respect to employee health and safety. Employers should be aware that this plan it is not to be considered a substitute for any provisions of the health and safety Act or for any approved Code of Practice issued by HSE.
