Who Is The CPMP For?
The plan has been designed to assist organisations with their Quality, OHS and Environmental performance by providing a "standardised" approach to developing Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plan for construction projects. The plan integrates the Site Safety Management Plan (SSMP), Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP) into a single document.
The plan is suitable for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed trades' persons operating within the Australian building and construction industry.
What Does The CPMP Comply With?
The CPMP outlines the minimum requirements for the management of Quality, OHS and Environmental by relevant organisations such as WorkCover, WorkSafe, EPA, Councils, Federal and State government agencies and meets the principal requirements of:
- Australian Standard/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Specification; with Guidance for Use;
- Australian Standard/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS International Standards Organisation (ISO) 14001 Environmental Management Systems with Guidance for Use;
- Australian Standard/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS International Standards Organisation (ISO) 9001 Quality Management Systems
- NOHSC: 1016 National Standards for Construction Work; and
- WorkCover WHS regulations for construction works
What Is The CPMP Suitable For?
The plan is suitable for 'construction works' that includes any of the following:
- Excavation works, including the excavation or filling of trenches, ditches, shafts, wells, tunnels and pier holes, and the use of caissons and cofferdams
- Building works, including the construction, alteration, renovation, repair, maintenance and demolition of all types of buildings (residential single dwelling, medium to high density development, high rise residential developments, commercial and industrial premises); and
- Civil engineering, including the construction, structural alteration, repair maintenance and demolition of for example, airports, docks, harbours, inland waterways, river and sea defence works, roads and highways, railways, bridges, and tunnels, viaduct, and works related to the provision of services such as communications, drainage, sewerage, water and energy supplies.
